WHAT IS A STENCIL FONT?
A stencil font is a type style that has been modified to be used in stencil cutting. You may notice that these fonts have small white lines that break apart certain individual characters. These lines are called bridging lines and are required to connect the inner portion of a character to the outer material. This ensures that when the text is cut on the stencil, the inner portions do not fall out, and the character retains its correct appearance. Bridging lines are also used to create a sturdier stencil for parts that may be weak that could potentially interfere with the specific application and transfer of the design.

STENCILS ONLINE OFFERS OVER 60 STENCIL FONTS AND WE CLASSIFY THESE FONTS AS DECORATIVE & INDUSTRIAL.
DECORATIVE LETTERING FONTS: These fonts have been modified with the least amount of bridging that is necessary to ensure the stencil is cut properly and sturdy enough for multiple applications. We also do our best to stylize the bridges, so they appear as if they are part of the original typeset.
INDUSTRIAL LETTERING FONTS: Our industrial stencil fonts have much more bridging. We understand that most industrial stencil applications require very strong stencils, so this style lettering will have many more bridges and the bridging tends to be much larger. The general look of this style tends to be bolder and simpler in nature.
